AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) plays as a striker. She also serves as the captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest level of professional women's soccer. From 2018 until 2020, she co-captained the women's national soccer team of America with Megan Rapinoe. [8][99 Morgan was drafted by the Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her studies at Berkeley in the early part of the year. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional there and was instrumental in winning the league championship. Morgan was only 22 at the time and was the youngest player on the national team in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team finished second. She scored the match-winning goal in the match against Canada in the 123rd minute of the semi-final match at the 2012 London Olympics. The 2012 season ended with 28 goals, 21 assists and Mia Hamm was the only American woman who scored both 20 and 20 goals. It made her the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to score 20 goals in a single season. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also an FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan was also instrumental in the United States winning their titles during the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. She was named to the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
